  • E-3: Australian "Specialty Occupation" Workers (Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent)
    H-1A: Professional Nurses

  • H-2A: Temporary Agricultural Workers
  • H-2B: Temporary or Seasonal Workers
  • H-3: Trainees
  • I Visa: Representatives of Foreign Media
  • J-1: Interns or Trainees who have a non-US Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years experience in a foreign country
  • L-1A: Intracompany Transferee (Managers and Executives) of multinational corporations
  • L-1B: Intracompany Transferee (Specialized Knowledge) of multinational corporations
  • O-1: Extraordinary Ability in the Arts, Sciences, Business, Athletics, or Education
  • P-1: Athletes and Group Entertainers
  • P-2: Reciprocal Exchange Program for Group Entertainers (i.e., troupe and/or bands)
  • P-3: Performers, Teachers or Coaches engaged in a culturally unique program
  • Q-1: Cultural Exchange Program
  • R-1: Religious Worker
  • TN: Workers covered under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)

* Generally, spouses and children under the age of 21 are permitted to file applications as derivative beneficiaries to accompany the principal beneficiary to the United States. In some cases, such derivative will be eligible to receive employment authorization.
